3PL Blue Dart drives efficiencies with Locus’ IntelliSort.
Conventional operational methods can directly contribute to the inefficiency of fleet on-ground.
Manual sorting process highly depends on human intelligence and consumes a lot of resources of the company. It is also dependent on trained manpower, impacted by peak time-heavy loads and becomes complex when managing same day delivery etc. This can lead to additional overhead costs, impacting delivery efficiency and can compromise on agreed service levels with the end customers.
Solutions:
Locus automated the shipment sorting process for Blue Dart using their AI-based decision-making engine, thus helping Blue Dart save on sorting time, reduce human dependency and deployment of resources. Every shipment is automatically assigned to the most optimal delivery route and the rider best suited for it. Routes provided by Locus IntelliSort can be printed on the shipping label to eliminate local intelligence & manual dependence. Locus’ Geocoding engine ensured higher accuracy in delivery addresses.

The potential impact of IntelliSort (Not exclusively with Blue Dart):
* 60% of sorting time saved
* 70% decrease in the number of sorting personnel
* 95% route mapping accuracy.
