Car safety seat manufacturer appoints logistics partner
Axkid – the Swedish manufacturer of a premium range of rear-facing car-safety seats for children – has outsourced management of its UK supply chain to Berkshire-based Walker Logistics.
Long established across Scandinavia, Axkid has recently opened a UK office to oversee its growing penetration of the UK market and sought a logistics partner that could help sustain its growth strategy.
Walker will be responsible for picking, packing and dispatching orders to Axkid’s growing list of UK retailer partners. The contract will be managed from Walker’s 250,000 sq. ft. multi-user fulfillment facility located close to Reading.
William Walker, sales director at Walker Logistics, commented: “Axkid needed a logistics specialist with a successful B2B track record and we are delighted that they chose us. We offer a very personalised service and provide a quality interface between our clients and their B2B customers.”
