Sunday service will give online retailers the edge
Walker Logistics has announced that it can now offer online retailers next-day delivery services, seven-days-a-week.
It means that consumers can receive their goods within 24 hours – even if they place an online order on Sunday.
“Traditionally anyone buying online on Sunday has had to wait until Tuesday before their order arrives or is ready for collection. Now Walker Logistics’ clients can offer their customers the option of ordering on Sunday and getting their goods on Monday,” says William Walker, sales director of Walker Logistics.
He continues: “The online retail market is exceptionally competitive and it is accepted that the efficiency of an online retailer’s fulfilment process is as important to that company’s ability to win business and retain customer loyalty as the price and quality of the products it sells.
“We believe that by giving Walker Logistics’ clients the opportunity to offer next day delivery – even to Sunday shoppers – we are handing online retailers an advantage over their rivals.”
Walker is partnering with delivery giants Royal Mail and DPD, who will operate regular Sunday collections from the company’s Berkshire site.
Walker will commence shipping orders seven-days-a-week in March.
Established in 1999, Walker Logistics offers a comprehensive range of bespoke logistics services to a broad range of clients from a modern facility close to Junction 14 of the M4.
