- No retraining needed plus minimal shopfloor disruption says VADO
- VADO completes a smooth upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- TouchPath’s WMS can now integrate with ten leading ERP systems, market-wide
International supply chain solutions provider TouchPath (www.touchpath.com) has achieved a swift ERP upgrade to Microsoft Business Central for user VADO, a leading bathroom fittings company, part of the £441.0 million Norcros Group*. The change has been enabled by TouchPath’s flexible ‘Touch WMS’ system, which now integrates with ten mainstream ERP systems market-wide. “It has all been very smooth” reports VADO IT manager Paul Simpson: “no retraining has been needed and there has been very minimal disruption to our shopfloor processes.” (*Financial year ended 31 March 2023 revenues: source Norcros PLC)
As a leading British bathroom brassware manufacturer VADO provides high quality taps, showers, accessories and fittings to customers across the globe.
VADO has an inventory of over 4,000 products. The company manages four warehouses in Somerset totalling 67,000 sq. ft. and despatches more than 2.8 million units per year to more than 1,200 UK retailers and nearly 100 architects, designers and other hotel and housing specifiers in the UK, and to over 40 countries worldwide.
Commenting on VADO’s ERP upgrade, TouchPath CEO David Myers says: “Touch WMS has been designed for use in complex manufacturing and distribution environments, as it can be easily reconfigured to support system architecture such as VADO’s new ERP regime.”
TouchPath technology uses smart, flexible modules that can be bolted together in almost any combination to deliver a customized solution at an off-the-shelf price, deploying systems technology that captures more information for better business performance and faster ROI according to the company.
TouchPath solutions are COTS (Custom-off-the-Shelf) applications. The user determines which functions are required and the business rules under which they are to operate and receives a bespoke solution configured from pre-existing modules. This gives user organizations the flexibility and control they need to optimize their warehouse and production processes in line with their individual needs and with no need to alter their processes or business rules.
TouchPath has operations in the USA (High Point, NC 27265) and the UK (Kent ME13 8NZ).
