Dematic Launches Customer Day Series With Smart Sortation.
Dematic, the automated intralogistics solutions company, has held the first in a series of special focus Customer Days at the company’s state-of-the-art offices in Adderbury, Oxfordshire.
The launch event, dedicated to Smart Sortation, was attended by a select group of technical experts from some of Dematic’s largest customers in Northern Europe and offered delegates a packed seminar programme covering: A review of the latest advances in sortation technology, case studies, upgrade options, emulation software and analytics, a keynote presentation from a leading independent consultant on warehouse automation, as well as a tour of the onsite live demonstration area where visitors could see Dematic’s latest solutions in action.
Special attention was given to Dematic’s SC3 Crossbelt Sorter; however, a comprehensive overview of Dematic’s extensive range of sortation technologies was also provided, spanning Linear, Circular and Overhead solutions. A further presentation looked to the future, outlining Dematic’s cutting-edge development work in robotics, as well as highlighting the most advanced systems available to customers, such as Dematic’s Pouch Sorter, Automated Mixed Case Palletising (AMCAP) and AutoStore solutions.
Attendees were also taken on a tour of Dematic’s Customer Response Centre for insights into Dematic’s approach to monitoring and responding to customer issues, followed by a brief visit to Dematic’s new Technical Training Academy.
“The response from those attending our Smart Sortation Customer Day was fantastic,” says Gary Whitehurst, Senior Director, Customer Service, Dematic Northern Europe. “This is the first in an ongoing programme of Customer Days where we hope to engage with customers and keep them informed of the many new technologies and solutions coming on-stream.
“Sorter technology has made rapid advances in recent years, especially in terms of intelligent software, product design and new materials, and so keeping pace with the latest developments, upgrade options and approaches to maintenance is now critical to ensuring future productivity and up-time for our customers. We felt it was important to keep our customers fully informed of these productivity-enhancing improvements. Hopefully, we can do the same for our many other solution focus points.”
The next Customer Day will focus on Dematic’s AugoBagging Solution which will take place in Adderbury on the 14th and 15th August in partnership with Adpak and Logopak.
