Descartes Launches pixi* E-commerce WMS for Automated In-house and Warehouse Logistics Processes .
Descartes Systems Group , the global leader in uniting logistics-intensive businesses in commerce, has launched its latest e-commerce and omnichannel retailing solution, Descartes pixi* e-commerce WMS, in the UK.
A flexible and scalable solution for efficient order fulfilment, Descartes pixi* e-commerce WMS will automate in-house logistics processes so that online vendors – whether e-commerce pure players, brands and manufacturers or B2B and B2C fulfillers operating their own warehouses – can better prepare for same day delivery, while saving costs and reducing error margin.
From strong interfaces for data exchange, through to stock receipts, cross docking, over refilling, pick-pack-ship, local carrier integrations, reverse logistics handling and order-status updates along the whole order lifecycle, automated processes via pixi* can speed up shipping processes by up to 42 per cent and increase the number of packages sent per employee by up to 323 per cent. Organisations are also up to 49 per cent faster in handling return processes, with return on investment typically achieved in less than 12 months.
Key features include:
Intelligent warehouse management and logistics processes
Receipt of barcoded goods, picking and shipping from structured or unstructured warehouse environments with mobile devices
Standard integration with sales channels such as Magento & Hybris
Flexible integration with major ERPs through web services
“In today’s increasingly interconnected, consumer-centric and competitive business environment, the traditional pressures of supply chain and warehouse management have paled into insignificance compared to the challenges of next- and same-day delivery,” said Andrew Tavener, Head of Marketing, Descartes Systems UK. “Efficient warehouse management operations are increasingly key to customer satisfaction and profitability, and we look forward to helping organisations become operationally ready to better fulfil orders, reduce error rates and be scalable for further growth with the Descartes pixi* e-commerce WMS.” www.routinguk.descartes.com
