Paragon expands on the back of strong growth.
Paragon Software Systems has increased its team by almost 10% to handle significant demand for its range of routing and scheduling, home delivery and electronic proof of delivery software. The company has created development, support and administration roles, to ensure it can continue to provide excellent service levels for both new and existing customers.
“We have a continuously growing client base – that already includes many well-known businesses in the logistics, retail and grocery sectors such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Greggs, Eden Farm, Nectar Imports, XPO, DHL and Argos – with a renewal rate of over 95% per annum,” explains William Salter, Managing Director of Paragon Software Systems. “It is very important that we continue to invest in our industry-leading development and support, so that we possess the capacity and expertise that allows us to help customers improve their operational efficiency and customer service levels.”
The expansion includes eight new technical roles, which brings the number of staff dedicated to developing, maintaining and supporting the company’s range of products to 74. This represents a substantial increase in Paragon’s technical support and development team, located at offices in Dorking and Hull. The recruitment in this area of the business will be further supplemented in the coming months by the addition of two graduate trainees.
During 2017, the technical support team worked on more than 30 implementation projects each month, spending almost 750 days at customer sites during the year to provide presale, installation and ongoing customer support. Meanwhile, the ongoing investment in research and development resulted in more than 50 updates and functionality improvements to the software.
“Over the past 12 months we have seen considerable growth both in the UK and internationally – with implementations in new countries such as UAE and Saudi Arabia – so we have invested in our team to continue delivering on our promise to customers. We are already partner of choice for many organisations worldwide, but we can only build on this success by remaining at the forefront of software development, technology leadership and service delivery,” concludes Salter.
