GOPLASTICPALLETS.COM’S PIONEERING RECYCLING SCHEME SURPASSES 1,000 TONNE MILESTONE - March 2, 2023
Goplasticpallets.com, the responsible plastic pallet company, has highlighted its commitment to future growth by significantly expanding its warehouse operation in Eastbourne. The company has acquired a new 8,000 square foot facility adjacent to its existing site, which was officially opened by Clare Bottle, CEO of The UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) this week.
By increasing warehouse capacity by 36 per cent, goplasticpallets.com can expand product lines and stock levels for 2023. This will allow the company to offer new and existing clients greater levels of support when it comes to increasing efficiency and promoting sustainability across their supply chains. Goplasticpallets.com already works with industry leading names across multiple sectors, including retail, food and beverage, agriculture, manufacturing, automotive and pharmaceutical.
In addition, the site expansion more than doubles the existing outside space available to the company, which will enable goplasticpalllets.com to further enhance its own logistical processes and therefore increase throughput.
Jim Hardisty, Managing Director of goplasticpallets.com, was joined by Bottle, Jerry Oughton, UKWA’s Head of Training, and Christina Ewbank, Chief Executive of Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce, for a tour of the site. At the end of the visit, Bottle was given the honour of cutting the ribbon.
She said: “The UK Warehousing Association is proud to have goplasticspallets.com as one of its members. Their products are really useful in warehouse operations, for example when automated systems are used, or sensitive food products are being stored. So, it was an honour for me to open their new warehouse in sunny Eastbourne.”
Hardisty added: “We took the decision to invest in our infrastructure to future proof our growth. Last year our revenue was £15m, and we expect this to grow to £18m this year, with ambitious plans in place for the years ahead. This important site expansion will provide us with a strong foundation for the coming years and will ensure our talented team can continue to deliver exceptional levels of service to our growing customer base. We will become even more agile and responsive to better support our clients with the most innovative and sustainable products in the marketplace.
“It was fantastic to welcome Clare to Eastbourne and for her to officially open the new facility. It provided a great opportunity to showcase how we are helping more businesses to reduce waste and boost supply chain performance, including through automation.”
