Interroll technology for System Logistics at drinktec.

Interroll has integrated its tried-and-tested Modular Conveyor Platform (MCP) into the line ends of System Logistics’ Modular Order Picking System (MOPS) that will be presented at the drinktec 2017 fair.

Interroll, a global provider of material handling solutions, has delivered the line ends for System Logistics’ MOPS automatic picking system, which will be exhibited at drinktec 2017 in the Krones intralogistics area, Hall B6, September 11–15 at Messe München, in Munich, Germany.

The line ends were equipped with 24V conveyor modules of Interroll’s MCP. The system, which is powered by 24V RollerDrive, has a decentralized design: There is no central drive station; the drives are located in each individual conveyor zone. With this design, each conveyor zone can be individually switched on or off. This offers the advantage that a movement in the conveyor system occurs only when the material to be conveyed is also present. Only the RollerDrive, which is necessary for the optimum flow of the conveyed goods, is driven.

MOPS from System Logistics is a fully automated order-picking system that is able to produce mixed pallets from different articles and packaging. In the MOPS system, the automatic depalletizing machines (robots) loosen the mono-reference pallets and separate the packages, which are fed by transport systems to their own storage area. System Logistics’ Best Fit software application then determines optimal sequences for the composition of the mixed transport pallets and regulates the release of the packets from the buffer via miniload to the sequencer. The packages within the sequencer are extracted using transport systems and reach the palletizing robots, which create mixed pallet loads in a fully automated process.

Flexibility and ease of use for the beverage industry

The high degree of automation of System Logistics’ system requires excellent components which convince end users across the operational spectrum through functionality and reliability. Interroll’s MCP fits seamlessly into this system.

The MCP is ideally suited to demonstrate the ease of use and flexibility of the automatic order-picking system from System Logistics at drinktec. The main element of the platform is a robust modular system that combines the various key elements of the transport systems into a complete solution with high system performance.

“We are delighted to be able to present our innovative solutions for the beverage industry together with System Logistics and the Krones Group at drinktec,” said Dr. Christoph Reinkemeier, Executive Vice President Global Sales & Services of the worldwide Interroll Group.

The MOPS commissioning system from System Logistics with the MCP from Interroll will be presented at the Krones stand in Hall B6 at the drinktec 2017.
